Our Team

Prior to founding ValueAppeal in 2009, Charlie was the CEO of ISSI Data, a national data storage VAR located in Bothell, Washington. Charlie took over as CEO of the 25 year old company in 2005 and successfully sold the company to a competitor at the end of 2008. Previously, Charlie worked in commercial real estate development on projects in Denver and Boston.

After growing up in the Seattle area, Charlie graduated cum laude from Bowdoin College with a degree in International Relations, and earned a Master of Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He lives in Seattle with his wife and two kids.

Eric is a marketing and operations veteran. Prior to ValueAppeal, Eric co-founded and ran a technology-driven investment management firm for five years. Over the years, he has helped many successful software firms build innovative products while smartly scaling the business to accommodate growth. Eric graduated from Whitman College with a BA in History and the Leeds School of Business at University of Colorado, Boulder with a MBA. Eric lives in Seattle with his wife and two kids.

Founder and president of Switch Development, a Seattle-based web development company, Matt brings over 10 years of internet technology experience. In addition Matt has been a chief technology partner for CondoCompare.com and several other Seattle area startups. He brings the mix between visual sensitivity and technical aptitude that is crucial for thoughtful web experiences.

Matt graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Computer Science and Business and lives in Seattle with his wife and daughter.

Angie Hugeback has a PhD in Statistics from the University of Chicago, and she has extensive experience developing creative solutions to complex and challenging statistical problems. In the past she has held research and professional positions at prestigious organizations such as NASA, Google, and Deloitte.

Matthew has worked as an enterprise software developer for more than 10 years. Prior to ValueAppeal, Matthew worked at several large healthcare companies writing custom internet applications and database software to deal with large and difficult healthcare data challenges. Anyone who has worked with him describes Matthew as their go-to-guy for code problems that no one else can solve. He brings a deep understanding of software design to the ValueAppeal team.

Matthew graduated from University of Tennessee Knoxville with a degree in political science and lives in Seattle with his wife Elaine.

Rick has been designing software and data solutions for over 10 years in a wide variety of industries, ranging from custom software for research laboratories to web solutions for the staffing industry. Rick has worked through the full range of multi-tiered applications, and takes a particular pride in bringing elegant designs to fruition. Rick's comprehensive grasp of data-related issues makes him particularly suited for ValueAppeal's needs.

Rick graduated from the University of Connecticut with degrees in Biology and Anthropology and lives in Seattle.

George began his career as an educator and later transitioned into a role as technology lead at Expedia. As the primary point of contact for ValueAppeal’s customers, George works to constantly improve user experience. George has degrees in music and education from the University of Washington and lives with his wife in Seattle.

Adam is a talented software developer with several years of experience writing code at Fair Factories Clearinghouse, the University of Alabama, and Tyson Foods. He lives on Alki Beach with his wife.

Drake was born and raised in Missoula, Montana where he owned and operated a residential irrigation company during high school. He graduated magna cum laude from Seattle Pacific University in 2009 with a degree in Business Administration. He lives in Seattle, loves traveling, and looks forward to attending graduate school in the coming years.

Deirdre Piggott provides a 13 year track record providing Superior Customer service in the financial services industry. Deirdre graduated from Central Washington University and is a Bellevue Washington Native currently residing in Redmond.

Phillip brings a diversified real estate background in market research, client service support and real property appraisal experience. His real estate background, especially in assessment appeals is an invaluable asset that integrates ValueAppeal's continued excellence in customer support. Phillip and his wife, Lisa resides in Lynnwood, WA.

Prior to joining ValueAppeal in 2011, Matt worked as an independent developer / consultant for major corporations. Matt was previously employed with companies such as Silicon Graphics, Microsoft, and Information Builders.

Alex has a great deal of experience in helping customers. After graduating from Washington State he spent five years working for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. He is capable of tackling any issue that you might have, and works hard to exceed customer expectations!

Before joining the team at ValueAppeal Dean has been a licensed managing real estate broker specializing in residential real estate. Has been expert at evaluating residential real estate sense 2003 and has been responsible for the successful closing of over 800 real estate transaction.

Ksenia is originally from Khabarovsk, Russia and is a recent graduate from Seattle Central, with a degree in Business Administration. Ksenia got her internship at ValueAppeal when she was back at college and after graduation she was asked to join VA team. She is seeking to align herself for strong growth and success and is passionate about the job that she does. Ksenia lives in Kirkland, loves salsa dancing and traveling.

Joy Williams-Doyle joined the ValueAppeal team in 2011. The DC native relocated to Seattle in 2009 after receiving her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of the District of Columbia. Outside of the office, she loves to bake, dance and explore the sights and sounds of Seattle.

Eric has over 13 years of designing applications and software. Prior to joining ValueAppeal he spent 11 years at Microsoft developing and designing several types of applications ranging from desktop to mobile. He lives in Lake Tapps, enjoys hanging out with his two labs and playing on the Lake.

Originally from California Jennifer is currently working on completing her master’s degree in Human Centered Design at the University of Washington. She spends her free time photographing, painting and enjoying Seattle with her fiancé and their dog.

Jay ran a property development company for over a decade. Specializing in the legal issues associated with the development and creation of residential lots. His primary focus was on the legal challenges with real property conditions. Jay loves spending with his family and everything outdoors.

Don moved to Seattle from Lincoln, Nebraska in 2009 and enjoys living in the Pacific Northwest. Don has a wealth of experience with technical support and customer service.

Jeff has been involved in marketing and business development for over 10 years. Prior to joining ValueAppeal, he led a consulting firm that helped many successful, small to mid-size businesses develop their marketing campaigns and growth strategies. His work has taken him throughout the U.S. and Western Europe, giving him a stronger understanding of differing business ideologies and practices. Jeff now lives in Seattle with his wife and two kids. He has a passion for travelling, running, and learning new things.
