Charles A Walsh, Founder and CEO

Prior to founding ValueAppeal in 2009, Charlie was the CEO of ISSI Data, a national data storage VAR located in Bothell, Washington. Charlie took over as CEO of the 25 year old company in 2005 and successfully sold the company to a competitor at the end of 2008. Previously, Charlie worked in commercial real estate development on projects in Denver and Boston.

After growing up in the Seattle area, Charlie graduated cum laude from Bowdoin College with a degree in International Relations, and earned a Master of Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He lives in Seattle with his wife and son.

Matthew Willis, CTO

Founder and president of Switch Development, a Seattle-based web development company, Matt brings over 10 years of internet technology experience. In addition Matt has been a chief technology partner for CondoCompare.com and several other Seattle area startups. He brings the mix between visual sensitivity and technical aptitude that is crucial for thoughtful web experiences.

Matt graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Computer Science and Business and lives in Seattle with his wife and daughter.

Angie Hugeback, Statistician

Angie has over ten years of experience solving tough statistical challenges at Google, NASA, and Deloitte & Touche. She has been published in several major academic journals and holds several patents. Angie has a Ph.D in Statistics from the University of Chicago and lives in Fremont with her husband and son.

Doug Metchick, Director of Marketing

Doug has over twenty years of marketing experience including roles as Senior VP at Clarion Marketing and as President of Penfield Marketing group. Doug has a degree from Skidmore College and lives with his wife and children in Fairfield, Connecticut.

Jeremy Pack, Director of Business Development

Jeremy has many years of sales and business development experience across several industrials. Jeremy was the owner of Mountain Builders, and property development firm, and a senior sales manager for ski company Head USA. Jeremy has a BA from Lewis & Clark and an MBA from Westminster College.

Matthew Hinkle, Lead Developer

Matthew has worked as an enterprise software developer for more than 10 years. Prior to ValueAppeal, Matthew worked at several large healthcare companies writing custom internet applications and database software to deal with large and difficult healthcare data challenges. Anyone who has worked with him describes Matthew as their go-to-guy for code problems that no one else can solve. He brings a deep understanding of software design to the ValueAppeal team.

Matthew graduated from University of Tennessee Knoxville with a degree in political science and lives in Seattle with his wife Elaine.

Rick Drasch, Senior Developer

Rick has been designing software and data solutions for over 10 years in a wide variety of industries, ranging from custom software for research laboratories to web solutions for the staffing industry. Rick has worked through the full range of multi-tiered applications, and takes a particular pride in bringing elegant designs to fruition. Rick's comprehensive grasp of data-related issues makes him particularly suited for ValueAppeal's needs.

Rick graduated from the University of Connecticut with degrees in Biology and Anthropology and lives in Seattle.

Steven Burks, Senior Program Manager / Program Launch Lead

Steven brings over 12 years of media technology experience to ValueAppeal, with 8 of those years dedicated to 4 different web and wireless start-up companies. His deep experience in user-centric strategy, design, branding, and extensive metric analysis and presentation, brings a uniquely creative and technical combination that is especially relevant to ValueAppeal. Steven's education is as diverse as his experience; with degrees in music, marketing, and information technology, he finished schooling at Pacific Lutheran University, The College Of Music At Edmonds, and the University Of Montana. Steven lives with his wife and animals in downtown Seattle.

Nicholas Carey, Senior Developer

Nick has over 20 years of software development experience writing elegant code at companies like Premera Blue Cross, Concur, Microsoft and Harlequin Software. He has a degree from University of Cincinnati and live in Seattle with his wife and children.

George Meaders, Customer Service Manager

George began his career as an educator and later transitioned into a role as technology lead at Expedia. As the primary point of contact for ValueAppeal’s customers, George works to constantly improve user experience. George has degrees in music and education from the University of Washington and lives with his wife in Seattle.

Adam Norris, Developer

Adam is a talented software developer with several years of experience writing code at Fair Factories Clearinghouse, the University of Alabama, and Tyson Foods. He lives on Bainbridge Island with his wife.

Drake Lemm, Project Manager

Drake was born and raised in Missoula, Montana where he owned and operated a residential irrigation company during high school. He graduated magna cum laude from Seattle Pacific University in 2009 with a degree in Business Administration. He lives in Seattle, loves traveling, and looks forward to attending graduate school in the coming years.
