The most satisfying part of my job is when a customer tells me how they’ve always wanted to appeal their property tax assessment, but were too intimidated by the process until ValueAppeal came along and made it easy for them

About our Services
- For FREE at www.valueappeal.com, we instantly tell homeowners if we believe they are overassessed by simply entering their property address on our website.
- We tell the majority of homeowners nationwide, approximately 80%, that they are NOT overassessed. This helps ensure they do not waste their time, or their tax jurisdiction’s time, on frivolous appeals.
- For a $99 flat fee, with no hidden costs, we help homeowners produce and file a property tax appeal and evidence report, based on comparable home sales in their area that demonstrates why they are overassessed.
- Important note: ValueAppeal presents homeowners with a list of possible comps to choose from themselves, we don’t tell them which comps to use. We are not appraisers and we do not produce appraisals.
- We remove all foreclosures and short sales from the list of comparable sales we present to our customers to choose from, since most jurisdictions don’t allow non-arm’s length transactions to be considered as evidence in an appeal.
- Our service is backed by a full, money-back guarantee if the homeowner is not successful in lowering their assessment with our evidence report. We don’t guarantee their appeal will be successful, but we do offer a 100% money-back guarantee if their appeal is denied.
- We use publicly available assessment data and comparable home sales to determine if a home is overassessed.
FAQ
- Can homeowners do this themselves?
Absolutely. Just like income taxes, everyone can do it themselves. Only 40% are successful filing appeals on their own due to difficulty in finding valid comps and complying with county rules. So far our customers have been successful over 80% of the time.
- How many homeowners nationwide are overassessed on average?
The ValueAppeal Index estimates approximately 20-25% of homes nationwide are overassessed. This varies by jurisdiction.
