Michael Dougherty
Michael is co-founder of Redfin and a former Director of Strategy & Planning at
Zillow. Currently he is the co-founder and CEO of Quorus, based in Seattle, Washington.
Michael received a BS in Engineering and International Studies from Yale, and an
MSEE from the University of Washington. At UW, Michael earned a 3-year National
Defense Science & Engineering Graduate fellowship.
Schuyler Havens
Schuyler was the Co-Founder and COO of Cartesian Iris and Iris Reinsurance Ltd.
(collectively “Iris”), a Bermuda-based asset management and reinsurance business.
Before founding Iris, he was an advisor to and then CFO and Head of Corporate Development
at Freestone Capital Management. Until February 2007, Schuyler was a Director of
E*TRADE Wealth Management where he was on the senior management team for their private
client growth and acquisition strategy. Previously, he was COO and CFO of Howard
Capital Management until its merger with E*TRADE in 2005. Schuyler began his career
at JP Morgan in New York. In addition to ValueAppeal, Schuyler also serves on the
Board of Iris.
Schuyler earned his B.A. degree in Economics and History from Trinity College in
Hartford, CT. He serves on the Alumni Executive Council for the Allen-Stevenson
School in New York.
Peter Lane
Peter has over 20 years of financial services industry experience. Peter was a Partner
with Eastbourne Capital Management, a $3 billion long/short hedge fund from 2000
through 2009 where he was responsible for marketing and all client relations. Previously,
Peter was the CFO and CIO with Sherwood Capital, a fund of hedge funds, from 1994
until it was acquired by Howard Capital Management in 1998 where Peter continued
to manage the fund of funds and served as Howard’s CFO. Before that Peter managed
his own investment company and worked as an institutional broker for William O’Neil
+ Co.
Peter is a graduate of the University of Michigan and is a Certified Financial Analyst.
